We are an evidence-based health journalism project. We report on published, peer-reviewed research and translate it into accessible language. Think of us as a science-reporting desk: we don’t conduct research or treat patients — we find credible studies, report their findings accurately, and link you to the source.

About Our Pen Names
Our content is published under editorial pen names, such as “Rick Gonçalves.” We do this to protect the personal privacy of the people behind the project — a common and legitimate practice across digital publishing, where the brand and the sourcing matter more than any single individual’s identity.
We’re telling you this openly because transparency is the point. A pen name doesn’t change whether a study is real or whether we reported it accurately — and those are the things you can, and should, check.
How You Can Verify Us
You never have to take our word for anything:
- Every factual claim is linked to its source. Click through and read the original study or guideline yourself.
- Our sources are named and authoritative — NIH, CDC, Mayo Clinic, the American Heart Association, and peer-reviewed journals. See our full standards in the Editorial Policy.
- We report uncertainty honestly. If the science is mixed, we tell you, rather than overstating a finding.
Our Commitment
